Christmas Forest Cake Recipe of 24-12-2019

There Christmas forest cake it's my way to wish you all the best for this Christmas Eve. More than a real recipe, it is an idea to decorate a Christmas themed cake. So, if by chance you have prepared a dessert for tonight or tomorrow but you still don't know how to proceed with the decorations, with some ice cream cones and a little chocolate and food coloring you could solve it brilliantly and without too much effort! As a base I used a wonderful Nutella brownie improvised on the fly: super quick and also good recipe, which you absolutely must try, beyond the decoration;)
Anyway, in reality you can really use any base, even a panettone, because the important in this case is the decoration;) In short, with this last minute idea I take this opportunity to wish you a very sweet Christmas Eve, but we will certainly read tomorrow morning for the official wishes and for a quick idea for the sweeter breakfast you could serve for Christmas or New Year's morning ... Do you want a little spoiler? Ok: buy raspberries, bananas, whipping cream and pancake necessities;)

Method

How to make the Christmas forest cake

First of all, whip the eggs with Nutella and flour until you get a very homogeneous mixture, then pour into the greased mold and cook for about 20 minutes (remember it is a brownie, not a sponge cake, so it must not dry too much inside) at 180 ° C in a preheated convection oven.
Once out of the oven, let it cool completely.

In the meantime, start preparing the cones: melt the chocolate in the microwave or in a bain-marie, add the dye and mix until a homogeneous color is obtained.

One at a time, pass the cones in the chocolate, trying to cover them entirely, then decorate them immediately as desired with the sugars: I decided to make them all different from each other.
Let it dry for at least 1 hour while the brownie cools.

When the brownie is completely cold and the chocolate completely dry, whip the very cold cream from the fridge (I used that spray directly to make it before) and fill all the cream cones (with that spray it takes a moment, with the normal one it will take a little more time).
When all the cones are filled with cream, place them on the now cold brownie (I recommend: be it really cold, or the cream and chocolate will melt!).

All that's missing is the finishing touch: sprinkle some coconut flour to simulate snow and your Christmas forest cake will be ready!
